Old Village Shaved Ice was founded in 2020 and operates off a refurbished cargo bike. We offer a variety of shaved ice flavors and sell Lowcountry merchandise and paintings on our online store. We sell shaved ice off of the cargo bike and use eco-friendly cups and spoons. Additionally, we use a rechargeable battery to help lower our carbon footprint.

When our owner, Elias Gilmore, was ten, he wanted to sell something that set him apart from the numerous lemonade stands. Inspired by his trip to Japan in 2016, shaved ice came to mind. After upgrading from a foldout table to a cargo bike, the business started to take off through hard work and dedication, creating what Old Village Shaved Ice is today. We strive to have as little carbon footprint as possible as we realize the effects of global warming on the Lowcountry and beyond.
